I raise all Whisperwind puppies in my home under my care where they encounter a variety of situations, including exposure to children. I carefully evaluate each puppy’s structure and temperament throughout its development. It is important that I find the best match for the lifestyles of new owners. Puppies are ready for homes at ten weeks of age. Puppies that are not sold as show prospects are sold on spay/neuter contracts. To ensure that I produce healthy, happy puppies, parents are health tested for hips, eyes, thyroid, vWD, and SA before breeding. I work closely with an excellent veterinary hospital to ensure the latest in health care. Puppies are health checked, receive inoculations, and are groomed before going to their new homes. Those interested in owning a Standard Poodle must understand that this is a high maintenance breed. Poodles require extensive coat care and should be brushed daily and groomed monthly. Standard Poodles are a high energy, highly intelligent breed that require daily exercise and mental stimulation. They thrive in the company of people and should be considered members of the family. Prospective clients must be willing to accept this commitment that lasts throughout the dog’s lifetime.
